This is my attempt to build a program that will be considered the most effective training for all ages and skill levels. Big Dog Lax will serve as a catalist in the effort to build a travel league encompassing the upper midwest. My hope is to be able to field at least 1 or more teams in U13, U15, Boys and Girls. Eventually working up to fielding as many teams as possible in all age levels. I will need coaches for each team. I believe in community support and will look for oustanding individuals who share my views. This is going to be a build as we go program. The league doesn't exist, the other teams do. Just like ours, other communities have multiple rec. programs running games within themselves, and perhaps a tournament. My main goal this winter, is to bring enough communities together to provide a 10-12 game schedule this summer starting June 1st. Pending results and parental feedback, we may try to get to a national tournament. Big Dog Lax will also be the vessel for lacrosse training at Woodland Sports.
