Goalie and Shooter Clinic: Tuesday December 23, 2008 9:00am-3:00pm  All Ages Boys & Girls

The purpose of this camp is to introduce or reintroduce correct fundamentals and techniques of goalie play and shooting in the sport of lacrosse. Goalies will work on their foot speed, stick speed, reaction time, and outlet passes, all necessary to be an effective goalie. We will have a pitching machine on hand for the goalie instruction. Shooters will learn how to shoot the ball faster, harder, and more accurate with consistency. Goalies and Shooters will be divided for the first half of the day for instruction and drills. Break for a light lunch, provided by the restuarant.   Second half of the day the groups will be combined to apply and practice techniques learned earlier.  This clinic will be scheduled and structured by Dan Usaj of TopCorner Lacrosse. We will have hundreds of balls on hand, ensuring at least 200 shots taken or recieved. This high number is necessary in creating muscle memory and quick reflexes. Full Goalie gear required,  Shooters need only Gloves and a Stick     No Cleats

  Space is limited to 40 players

  Morning check-in begins at 8:30 am.   Drop off and pick up between 8am-4:30pm

Beginner Clinic: All Ages Boys & Girls: December 29th & 30th 9:00am-12:00pm

Starts with the fundamentals of passing, catching, and cradling. Drills and instruction will be progressive and very mechanical. Again, muscle memory is the key. Ends passing, catching, and cradling while running. If the group progresses well, we will expand in to ground balls and shooting. Girls instruction provided by Big Dog Lax with Jana and Jessica Drummond. Boys instruction provided by Dan Usaj of Top Corner Lacrosse. Boys need gloves and stick only, girls need stick and goggles. No Cleats

Space is limited to 30 girls and 30 boys    Cost is $25 per player
